"I always dreamed of going to college," quipped Rodney Dangerfield when he played a dad who bonds with his struggling son by joining him in college. Just a line from the '80's flick, Back to School? For some people yes. For others, it's really their goal - their life's dream.

When Bella's mom died right after she was born, her dad did what he thought was best. He remarried. Bella's new mom, Avina, was gentle, caring, and sad. She had left her country and her education to come to the United States. Her dream was to be pediatrician, but motherhood now came first. Years were filled with girl scouts trips, PTA meetings, housework, family vacations, and finally, helping Bella fill out applications for college.

Working on those applications made Avina think. Was it finally time for her to live her dream?

With the support of her family, Avina made it happen. She enrolled in college, graduating with her daughter this past June.

What's her next IT?

Medical School, of course.
